The third placed and the champion of 2011 and 2012 Maria Sharapova qualified for the quarter finals of the strong mixed tournament on clay courts in Rome, after she beat Bojana Jovanovski (Serbia) with 6:3, 6:3 for 1 hour and 31 minutes.
Sharapova made six breakthrough in the matchand conceded three. Her next opponent in the Eternal City will become clear later tonight after the game Irina-Camelia Begu - Victoria Azarenka.
