Real is keeping Ronaldo with 23 million euros per season

The three-time winner of the Golden Ball Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid are near the new multimillion-dollar contract.
The superstar's agent Jorge Mendes has already met with the President of the Royal club Florentino Perez and both sides have clarified the main points of the agreement. It will keep Ronaldo at the Santiago Bernabeu up to 2021, his salary will jump to 23 million euros per season, which the player will take after taxes.
It is suggested that the two sides have had divergences regarding the duration of the contract since after five seasons Ronaldo's had. Mendes, however, has managed to convince Peres, it's worth it to keep Ronaldo as long as possible at Real.
The new contract is expected to be officially announced by the end of November, and this expires in June next year. This will be the second largest settlement in Spanish football after that of the leader of the Barcelona's Leo Messi.
Ronaldo has been playing for Real Madrid since 2009 when he was bought by Manchester United for a record 94 million euros and in 354 matches with he has scored 367 goals.
