Eriksen re-signed with Tottenham

The Spurs playmaker Christian Eriksen officially renewed his contract with the club until the summer of 2020.
The news was expected for some time after the player has become a very important figure in the team. He received a raise and a double and will receive 70,000 pounds a week, which will put him among the best-paid players on the team.
`This club is about to have a bright future and I would not re-sign if I was not convinced of this. The atmosphere in the team is great and we all want to achieve the same.`, commented the footballer.
According to some rumors Eriksen, who was bought by Ajax in 2013, has requested to take 150 000 pounds a week, which has brought problems in the talks, but it was negated by his agent.
`If the money was the most important, then he wouldn`t sign with Tottenham three years ago because there was interest in him from some of the richest clubs adviced by www.soccercapper.org .`, said the agent.
The midfielder has had 32 goals in 134 appearances for the Spurs, who started without a loss in their first three games of the season in the Premier League. It is expected that soon new contracts with Londoners will be signed by Hugo Lloris and Jan Vertonghen who are currently bound to the club until 2019 and 2018.
